In 2010, a small diverse group of community members, saw a need for a breakfast on Saturday mornings in the Community Kitchen. We started modestly with cold cereal, milk, juice and other donated food items. Gradually the menu was expanded to eggs, bacon and pancakes.
The Holland Sentinel ran an article about the organization in 2012, which brought in a lot of new donations and volunteers.
We run efficiently now with dedicated volunteers and food/financial donations from individuals, area businesses and food banks. As with all non-profit organizations, we rely on volunteers and monetary donations to sustain our mission.
